“I never imagined that I would turn in my dissertation early.”
Every time I wanted to do something, even though I knew that I was going to have a problem in the future, I didn’t do it. I would skip out or skip on that or just not work as much as I should have. Basically, I was only motivated when I was working with other people because I didn’t want to let them down. But, if I wanted to do something for myself, like study for an exam, I would procrastinate a lot.
As a result, my marks were not as high as I wanted. I didn’t have enough confidence to do other stuff I wanted to do, because I kept asking myself, “If I don’t do this simple thing, then how am I going to do other things that are more challenging? Like, how am I going to do something that is not imposed by others?” Like, start my own business and stuff like that. It was making it so I didn’t trust that I would follow through.
I was working on my dissertation and before I started the program it wasn’t going very well.
I was not very consistent. I would write, maybe, 300 or 500 words in a day and then I would leave it for a week. If I had continued doing it that way, it would be really, really bad.
As a result of all the changes, I ended up doing much better than I’d done in the past with my dissertation. Better than others. By the time I was about to do my last two chapters, other people were like three or four chapters behind me.
My dissertation was due on the 6th of September. And I think I turned that in on the first or maybe August 31st. I think it was five days before the deadline. It was a good feeling to get such a big project in so far ahead of the deadline. I never imagined that I would turn in my dissertation early.I would recommend this program to others, there was no guesswork. There were four questions to answer and I’d answer them and get an aha. It just worked.

“I was in danger of failing and getting kicked out the program.”
I was procrastinating on my schoolwork for my Masters in Accounting Program. To me it felt like it would take too long to finish the papers I needed to write so I didn’t want to start. I kept thinking “I’ll do it later. I’ll do it later.” And then later never came. It was so bad that I had to get extensions on my deadlines. If I didn’t turn in the papers, I’d have to pay $1500 to take the same class again. And I was in danger of failing and getting kicked out the program. When I was an undergrad, I would usually miss an assignment or two but this was far worse.
After I spoke with you I ended up doing all my papers. I had turned in 100% of my homework assignments for all two years of the program.
I ended up saving time because now I’m not procrastinating for 50 hours to do the work.
It used to take me a couple of weeks to get a paper done and a lot of that time was spent procrastinating, trying to find something else to do. Some kind of excuse to not do the homework.
I can now get the same work done in a day or two.
I would definitely recommend that someone use Rodney for coaching services because it’s beneficial. It was beneficial to me, so I assume it’d be beneficial to someone else. It works.
Oh yeah, and I did finish that Master’s program. I graduated in December 2017.

“At first, I didn’t do anything between sessions, and he was able to walk me through exercises, looking at what happened there and learn from it so I could do them.”
Before I started working with Rodney during a transition period in my life, my days were of out of control. If I didn’t get the day started right, by noon I wouldn’t have had breakfast and my blood sugar would be dropping.
I wasn’t eating right. I wasn’t always taking my medicine. There was physical therapy I was supposed to be doing, but I would think, “I’ll do it later, I’ll do it later, I’ll do it – oh, I’m exhausted and it’s bedtime.”
I’d waste the day watching Netflix and surfing Facebook, because once the day got out of control, then it seemed like it was lost.
Sometimes, I’d finally start getting things done late at night, but I wouldn’t get enough sleep. And then there’d be even less chance of getting the next day started right.
As a result of my work with Rodney, I got rid of the chaos in my days.
Rodney showed me how to draw the Matrix, which helped me discover what was important to me and make plans that I felt truly committed to.
At first, I didn’t use the Matrix between sessions the way I intended to. Rodney was able to walk me through exercises to look at why I hadn’t. Using what I learned from those exercises, I started doing my Matrix “homework” regularly.
No matter what experience I share with him, Rodney has a technique of turning it into a learning opportunity. And when I feel as though I’m stuck in one of the exercises, that doesn’t stop us. Rodney takes us out of that exercise into a different one, and he’s always able to get me unstuck.
Working with Rodney has allowed me to commit to routines that I follow to get the day started right.
I got my taxes done before the deadline.
I’ve risen to a state-level position in my volunteer organization.
I’m earning money again.
I achieved these things without feeling like I was struggling or forcing myself to do them.
Now, every so often, I notice that my morning is about to go off the rails, and I’m able to make a better choice. I don’t let things get away from me the way they had before.
Working with Rodney, who has spent a lot of time using and researching these techniques, does what a book or a one time workshop can’t do. He notices how I’m different from others and customizes everything for me. He sees what I already do well on my own and focuses on what I need.
